Musician Ed Sheeran shocked a Detroit bar by joining in with one of the locals to sing karaoke Wednesday night while he was making a stop in between shows, before eventually heading back to a show at Ford Field on August 29.

One of the biggest singers in the world, Ed Sheeran is currently on a stadium tour, and between stops in Minneapolis over the weekend and last night in Toronto, Ed Sheeran was making a pit stop in the city and decided to visit the Detroit Japanese restaurant, Sakazuki.

On Wednesday nights at karaoke, host Kristen’s Sarver at Fusion Entertainment hosts a fun night of music, which is when she heard that Ed Sheeran was eating dinner in the main-level restaurant.

Well, it turns out one of the locals named Kevin Reedy had some liquid courage flowing through him and decided to visit Ed Sheeran and his wife and sing a song next to them to get his attention, which is when he made his way upstairs, according to MLive, and eventually joined him to sing his hit song Thinking Out Loud, which you can watch here.

Is that really ED SHEERAN??? Singing Karaoke?!?!! YES IT IS!!!!! Only a true class act would come into a Karaoke bar and be willing to make a dream come true by singing with one of the karaoke regulars. ( Kevin Reddy ) Very few celebrities would be willing to do that, and we were SO. HONORED. he was willing to give that experience here in Detroit. Thank you, Ed Sheeran, for being so real and generous.

As someone who has met Ed Sheeran when he played one of my old radio station shows in Rochester Hills years ago, I could say that he is very personable and has always been incredibly friendly towards fans who show him the proper respect.

It was really incredible of him to do something like this when the kid is literally one of the biggest musicians in the world. Yet he is still humble enough to sing karaoke with people who support him in a random bar in Detroit.
