Family Mourning: Missing MI Wrestling Referee Since July ID'd

The independent wrestling scene in Michigan is very tight-knit and close to the community. Everybody from the professional wrestlers who risk their lives for the sake of entertainment and the love of the sport, to the fans, to the referees and commentary teams all thrive within the system of support.

I was lucky enough to be a part of the scene for a few years, and I confirm that some incredible people give their entire hearts to the business. One family is in mourning today as a local referee who has been missing since July 1 has been identified after being found a few weeks after he went missing.

The family is in dire need, as they had to endure, not only the worry of him missing, but the tragedy of having to identify someone they loved in one of the worst ways possible as they explain on their GoFundMe page.

Sunday I went to morgue viewed the most horrific pictures of my husband decomposed body in a field he went missing on July 1 was found on July 14 in a field over 50% decomposed.

The family is in a very tough spot, as they continued:

Our son is devastated, we are in need of funeral (cremation) money and we are homeless. We need money for the hotel it’s been really hard for me each day that went on without answers, my worst nightmare that he passed away.

As you saw from the quote, the family is in need of a lot of help right now and has a goal of raising $10,000.

Any help that you can give them, especially around this time of the year would be greatly appreciated, as the community has come together to support them through this incredibly challenging time.
