After 56 years in the Movie business,  Martial Arts Superstar Jackie Chan is set to receive an honorary Oscar in November.

According to CNN, Chan will receive the Oscar at the Academy's 8th Annual Governors Awards in November.   With appearances in over 200 films, it is hard to choose five favorites but I did my best.   My Five Favorite Films Of Jackie Chan.

This film is an one of my favorites of his early 80's films.   It has one of his craziest stunts where he falls off the face of a clock tower and goes through a couple of awnings before landing on the ground.   He also battles pirates and has a crazy bicycle chase one of his best.

My all time favorite Jackie Chan movie.   This was originally called "Drunken Master 2". In the U.S. it was called, "The Legend Of The Drunken Master".   He reprises the roll of Wong Fei-Hong.     The movie features some fantastic Drunken Boxing as well as one of the best fights Jackie has ever done.

I remember seeing this movie in theaters when it was released after the success of "Rumble In The Bronx".   Once again Jackie plays the role of Kevin Chan.  This film  made actress Michelle Yeoh a star, who went on to star in "Tomorrow Never Dies" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".  Jackie does another one of his many crazy stunts by hanging on to a ladder off a helicopter over Kuala Lumpur.

This movie is on the list because it features one of my favorite fights featuring Jackie.  He battles Jet Li in a moment that is the best scene in the film.

It didn't feature any of his crazy stunts, but it showcased some of the comedy and singing that Jackie is known for in Hong Kong.   This one made him a household name and also gave him a box office hit around The World.
