Food Trippin’ In The Mitten: Kelvin & Co
This week on Food Trippin' In The Mitten, we traveled to Kelvin & Co which has two locations, one which opened in 2017 in downtown Kalamazoo and their newest location on West Main Street. They feature what's known as 'Urban BBQ', a concept we wanted to learn more about from owner and chef Mark Nieuwenhuis.
All their meats are slow-cooked and smoked to perfection in house on a daily basis using rubs and seasonings crafted that are available for purchase to use on your meats at home. Handcrafted sides are also made in house, only with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. One might think a BBQ joint would not have many options for vegetarians but there is plenty to choose for the veggie lovers tagging along for the ride.
Check out the full menu and keep up on happenings at Kelvin & Co by liking them on Facebook.
