Is it a Strike or a Touchdown? Fowling Comes to Grand Rapids

You can now play fowling, the football + bowling combination sport in Grand Rapids.

Fowling is a homegrown Michigan sport that will bowl you over. As the name suggests, fowling is a combination of football and bowling- you score points by throwing a football and knocking down your opponent's pins. Until now, the closest place to play was Detroit's Fowling Warehouse. Save gas and play closer to home as a new Fowling Warehouse has just opened in Grand Rapids.

Of course, you can't have bowling and football without beer and the fowling lanes serve up drafts and craft beers with a stage for live music. Weekday leagues are forming and while the games are restricted to fowlers 21 and older during the week, weekend play is open to all ages.
