You know the old saying: "If you teach a man to fish for free"...wait...that doesn't sound right.  I'll have to get back to you on that.  As I confessed in a previous post, I'm not a hunter; I'm more of a fisher and look forward to doing so whenever I get the chance.  My dad taught us to fish in Manitowish Waters, WI where we would vacation in the mid 1960s.  We used cane poles back then and caught plenty of perch.  Ah the memories.

The second weekend in June could be another chance or your first chance to make some of those memories and not have to pay to do it.  According to wlns.com, on June 8th and 9th you will NOT need a Recreational Passport and can fish for any and all species in the state parks and recreation areas .  In fact, any public water including the big lakes.  Of course, all state fishing regulations will apply.  Check out more information by clicking HERE.
