Traverse City Finds Fascination With Goth Baddies Online

One of the most unlikely towns in Michigan is apparently obsessed with beautiful Gothic women, and a Facebook group representing the city has been flooded with posts of people desperately looking for what they are calling “Goth Baddies.”

That city is Traverse City, and it’s on the Facebook group “Overheard in Traverse City“ that there are almost daily posts of guys looking for Goth Baddies in the area.

I started noticing that the group became flooded with these posts almost daily, and it’s been this way for at least a month now. But why, of all places, is a resort town like Traverse City full of men who are thirsty for Gothic women?

There are so many questions and so few answers when it comes to this recent obsession. I have no idea how this even got started in the first place, but the trend took off like wildfire, and now members of the group are at odds with one another.

The trend was so hot that I even announced that I would be holding a contest for the Miss Goth Baddie Traverse City, and I even got a few people who nominated themselves.

This was all supposed to be a joke, even though I said it wasn’t. It was just funny to see if people took it seriously, and how many people would be willing to put themselves out there for the sake of entertainment.

I think people just needed a distraction since Josh and Jase left Traverse City and went back to the United Kingdom. It’s just hilarious that out of all things they could obsess about, Gothic women were their first choice.
