Guy Fieri is known for many different shows, but his Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives show has done an amazing job pointing out great local businesses that may be a bit off the radar for most people, but helps put many of them on the map.

Besides, there are so many great local restaurants. It helps to have a recognizable name to bring some recognition to an otherwise small town. Recently, a list was put together of Guy Fieri’s top seven pizzas from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

The Food Network recently revealed the list of the seven best pizzas. Incredibly, Michigan was overlooked by some unconventional pizzas from unusual places. I feel like we have some unique pizzas here that were screwed out of this list.

As expected, a pizza place from Chicago featuring a breakfast pizza made the list, along with an Italian beef pizza.

There was also a duck bacon flatbread from Syracuse, New York, that made the list, but I’m not so sure why they included a flatbread on this list.

Regardless, the pizzas do sound good, but I find it crazy that Michigan pizza places were snubbed by Joe Squared Pizza in Baltimore, Maryland, and Naked City Pizza in Las Vegas.

That’s not to say that the pizzas they featured didn’t look good, but there are a lot of unique pizza places in Michigan.

Let us know what you think of the list, which can be viewed here, and what pizzas that are truly unique to Michigan restaurants and truly unique pizzas you feel should have made the list.
