One of my all-time favorite vocalist Mike Patton is 47 today.  He's one of the most prolific singers out there.

Patton will always be known for his work in Faith No More and Mr. Bungle. If you have never listened to him beyond those two bands check out some of his many other projects.  Some of my favorites include, Tomahawk and Fantomas, which are full bands.  I also enjoy "Mondo Cane," which is the album he did of Italian pop songs with an orchestra.

He has also done some interesting film scores for the movies, "Crank: High Voltage", "The Solitude of Prime Numbers" and "The Place Beyond The Pines".  That is just scratching the surface of music he has been a part of. Now that he is back with Faith No More, (who have a U.S. tour and album this spring), I hope his other projects don't suffer.

I have yet to see him live on any of his tours and hope I can find my way to Detroit on May 8 to see him at the Fillmore with Faith No More.  Happy Birthday to a musical genius.
