These 8 Baby Names Are Illegal in Ohio
Congratulations, you just had a new baby boy or girl. So... what are you going to name them?
It's a big decision, because they are likely going to carry that name with them for their entire lives. And in the state of Ohio, you better be careful, because there are some names that you should avoid. In fact, you HAVE to avoid them, because it's illegal to give babies certain names.

When you name your child, you want it to be something that is strong, representative, memorable, and of course, acceptable.
Sometimes traditional, and simple names are fine - John, Mary, Chris, Jennifer. There's nothing wrong with those names. But if they ever become the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes, or a huge actress in Hollywood, don't be made if they come up with a more memorable pseudonym for the media.

Hollywood's Obsession with Strange Names
If you're gonna make a scene in Hollywood, you have to make it memorable, so when a Hollywood mother has a child, it needs to be a huge event, right?
Maybe some of the most famous Celebrity names come from when Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were together. "Saint" and "Chicago" were named for Kanye's past. Kris Jenner came up with the name "Psalm," and their final child together, "North," actually came from a joke that Jay Leno made about their family.
So North West is literally a joke.
Of course, some of the others include "Apple" from Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, "Blue Ivy" from Beyonce and Jay-Z, "Kal-El" from Alice Kim and Nicolas Cage, which is ACTUALLY the "real name" for Superman on his home world of Krypton.
The bottom line is, if you want your kid's name to be remembered, you have to get creative, but in Ohio... not TOO creative.
