It's no secret that Americans may not be eating the healthiest food on the planet.  What we DO know is that Americans may be eating more food than the rest of the planet.  You would think that with the level of scientific sophistication, the Food And Drug Administration and watch dog groups to keep them and the companies honest that we wouldn't have anything unsafe to eat.  Not to mention food we produce being banned by other countries around the world.

The fact of the matter is, although specific foods may not be banned, what's used in the food products we produce creates the banning situation. For instance, according to an article on simplemost.com, Fruit Loops made by Kellogg's is banned in other countries because of the use of artificial food dyes Blue 1, Blue 2, Yellow 5, Yellow 6 and Red 40 are banned in many countries in Europe.  Research shows that artificial food dyes can increase the risk of cancer and ADHD in children.  Find more of the things we eat that are banned elsewhere by clicking HERE.
