Ohio City Among 10 Safest And Richest Cities in America
Every neighborhood, city, town, and state are similar but none of them are the exact same, just like everything else in the world. There are some of these areas that are almost carbon copies of each other, but realistically there are some that are better than others. Most people take a look at income, schooling, safety, and other variables to compare different areas of the country together.
Obviously, the big cities are always among the first to be brought up and debated but most of them are removed from the list due to either the affordability or lack thereof, or the ever-growing crime and homeless problems that those cities have. Smaller cities and towns are normally the ones that dominate these lists because of the sense of community, safety, and affordability.
Ohio is one of the states that is known for having some of the oldest towns, cities, bars, and other establishments within the United States. Which can be a draw for some people when they are deciding where they would like to live, but the housing market, job market, safety, and other factors are important as well. Entertainment matters to some, but to most the city they live in needs to be safe and offer them lucrative job opportunities.
GoBankingRates did some of this work for us and has found the safest and richest cities in the entire country by using the following metrics:
- average household income
- total population
- total households
- cost of living indexes
- crime rates
- and more
There were no limitations to what kind of cities they surveyed but they did find that California, Massachusetts, and New Jersey are the states with the most cities as they have seven, seven, and six cities on the list respectively, Also, none of the cities had an average household income that was less than $251,210.
