Battle Creek’s Jack In The Box Opens To Long Drivethrough Waits

Michigan’s first Jack-in-the-Box location in Battle Creek off Capital Avenue has been plagued with more than an hour-long drive-through times since its grand opening on June 15.

This is the first time the fast food restaurant has made its way to Michigan, and demand is incredibly high to try their menu. The traditional fast food cheeseburger place is also well known for its tacos, so naturally, I had to try it out for the first time.

Traffic Issues for Jack in the Box

The biggest issue currently is people waiting in the right lane of Capital Avenue, which serves as an extension of the drive-through line.

From the moment that I was stopped on Capital Avenue to the time I left was about one hour. But the only reason it was an hour long was when I finally made it into the parking lot, I was able to maneuver my car into a parking space and go inside.

Inside, they have a kiosk where you can order your food and get a table. Luckily, this was the decision I made, considering the food was up within 15 minutes. By the time I was able to enjoy my food and get back in my car to leave I noticed that the car that was ahead of me in the drive-through line was still waiting to order.

Give The Employees Some Grace

This is not to say that service was slow or the staff was unable to keep up; it was just a very long wait because of how many cars were in line. You've got people all over Michigan coming to try this food.

Overall, the food was great. The curly fries were really good, as well as the cheeseburgers. I was pretty impressed with their tacos as well, which reminded me of a larger version of a mini taco, but with a bit better quality.

The Fastest Way To Get Jack In The Box in Battle Creek

Overall, it was a great dining experience, but if you want to get your food in a timely manner, I highly suggest parking and then dining inside or at least getting it to go.
