Former MSU Spartan and current Detroit Red Wings Forward, Justin Abdelkader is hosting his own hockey camp in Muskegon.

According to WXYZ, the camp will be in Abdelkader's hometown of Muskegon June 17th through June 20th.

The camp will be for mites (7-8 years old) and squirts (9-10 years old) and take place at the L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon.

This is another great way for kids to learn the sport of hockey this summer.  The Red Wings are also hosting a street hockey tour across Michigan this summer.

Abdelkader will be joined by Michigan State Assistant Coach Tom Newton  as a coach at the camp.

The camp will have attendees work on their on and off ice skills and there will be a Q & A session with Abdelkader.

Sign up is taking place on Justin Abdelkader's website.   You can get more details on the upcoming camp and get the registration form on Abdelkader's website here.
