How is it that we are nearing the 100-year mark when World War II officially began, we are still having to deal with Nazis? Considering that there are most likely, very few actual Nazis left in the world, I feel like this is something that should be dead and gone, considering the sacrifice that so many people around the world made to ensure that this terrible group was killed forever.

Sadly, some people exist only to spread hate and we are still dealing with Nazi symbolism and terror in 2025. This is not only coming from random people but also from members of the Republican Party here in Michigan, like Kent County Republican Committee member Derek Anderson.

Anderson’s posts are offensive and wholly inconsistent with the beliefs and values of the Republican Party. Moreover, his sentiments dishonor the service and sacrifice of Americans who fought to defeat Nazi Germany and liberate Jewish survivors of concentration camps.

We honor the memory of the millions of Jews who perished and reject any ideology that aligns with the sick, murderous regime responsible for their deaths
