Did Kermit The Frog Once Sing About Michigan’s Tahquamenon Falls?
One of the most iconic figures of our childhood is arguably Kermit the Frog, one of the most well-known puppets and the leader of the Muppets, who has been a staple of television for five decades. Between his appearances on Sesame Street, the Muppet Show, and various Muppet specials and films he remains one of the most loved characters that Jim Henson ever created.
Recently, a video popped up, with many people thinking that Kermit the Frog had remixed one of the famous sketches from the puppet show around one of Michigan’s most well-known features.
In a video clip from a TV show on the Disney Channel. It shows Kermit the Frog having a conversation with the most famous resident of Pentwater, Michigan, Sandra Bullock.
In the skit, Sandra Bullock plays a therapist or a psychiatrist, and Kermit confides in her that he sees the strange creatures every time he says "Tahquamenon," which are the famous falls in the upper peninsula. At this point, the fuzzy little creatures from Muhana Muhana pop up with the “do-do, do-do-do,” as if they are singing the famous first sketch of the Muppet show, "Mah Na Muh Na.”
Unfortunately, this is just the work of Pure Memeigan, the troll Michigan Meme Page. Although Kermit never sang about Tahquamenon Falls, it's still cool that he got to chat with one of Michigan's most famous residents.
But considering how beautiful the falls are, if Kermit the Frog is ever thinking of relocating, I heard the summers are pretty nice up there.
