Friday night at Comerica Park was an eventful game not only because of the baseball that was being played but also because of the theatrics that took place during the game. Two children were apparently handcuffed and taken away by police. But what for?

Well, it goes back to one of the classic incidents, that has been known to take place at many baseball games. The kids actually ran out onto the field and got chased down by security. I remember the first time I saw something like this. It was actually one of the most memorable games I’ve ever been to. It was all the way back in the early '90s when my dad took me and my two brothers to the Detroit Tigers game at Tiger Stadium.

They were playing the Texas Rangers that night, and it was a game we would never forget. Not only because there was a massive rain delay, and we saw somebody jump out of the crowd and run onto the field and get tackled by security, but because my brother also caught two balls.
We actually have footage of this, that my mom was recording on our VHS. The guy who tackled the kids was also taken into police custody, however, they were not tackled to the ground like that poor guy. Somebody at the game can vouch for this to go along with the video.
This was Friday when this happened and they ran from corner to corner where the netting ends straight across the field. Security that was chasing them, couldn't catch them, the security on the other side basically corralled them in and grabbed them by the shoulder then cuffed them when they reached the other side.
