Exciting News For Food Lovers As Garden Griddle Owners Return
For 10 years, Sarah and Zach Cox, the owners of the Garden Griddle, pursued their dream of running a family diner in Paw Paw, Michigan. Sadly, in 2023, that all came to an end when they closed on Sunday, March 26.
Since then, they’ve been catering and doing baking orders as GG Sweets and Creative Catering. But now the former owners of Garden Griddle have excitedly announced that at the beginning of February, they will be officially reopening as The Kitchen at Lucky Wolf.

In a Facebook post, they expressed their excitement and feelings of getting back into the industry:
Stepping back into this space comes with a lot of feelings. The restaurant world is tough, demanding, and all-consuming. The people closest to us may even think we’re a little insane for trying again. And maybe they’re not wrong. Losing the Garden Griddle was heartbreaking. We poured years of hard work, love, and long days into it, only to have circumstances far beyond our control bring it to an end. We grieved it. We missed it. And for a long time, we wondered if we’d ever feel ready to come back.
The Lucky Wolf is a multipurpose venue, so this restaurant won’t be a traditional full-scale size, as she explains:
With the limited kitchen space at The Lucky Wolf, we’re creating thoughtful, intentionally limited menus — food we’re proud of and experiences we hope you’ll want to come back for.
It's exciting to see this family back in action as they launch this new venture in a city that's drawing more and more people every year.
