Fox Sports Detroit Analyst, Darren Eliot recently announced he was leaving.  As he heads out to Las Vegas, a familiar face returns to TV.

According to M-Live,  Hall of Fame defenseman  Larry Murphy will return to Fox Sports Detroit to be an analyst for the Red Wings.

He was originally a part of the Fox Sports Detroit team but was let go back in 2013.   During his time on the air he worked part time color commentary with Ken Daniels.  He also was a studio analyst a job he is returning to.

His first scheduled appearance back with the Red Wings will be the next game tonight (February 14th) against the Ottawa Senators.

Murphy won two Stanley Cups with the Red Wings and was also elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004.

It will be great to see him back on the air.   Welcome Back Larry!
