ESPN recently announced their projection of the Top 100 NFL Players for the new season.   Only one Detroit Lions player was on the list.

According to M-Live,  Darius Slay of the Detroit Lions is the only Lions player on the list at number 100.   The list is assembled from a panel of 40 analysts picks.

The number for the Lions is down from last year when Slay along with Matthew Stafford and former Lions defensive end, Ziggy Ansah were on the list.

Washington and Tennessee had no players featured on the list.   Kansas City and New Orleans both had seven players featured on the list the most for any team.

Chicago Bears linebacker, Khalil Mack was listed in the top five of the list at number 3.

The list focuses on predicting a player on their potential and not on past performance or value.

The Lions finish up the preseason on Thursday night in Cleveland.    They will open the 2019 season in Arizona against the Cardinals on September 8.
