Just as his name is eligible for the upcoming Baseball Hall of Fame vote,  long time player Manny Ramirez is attempting another comeback.

According to Yahoo Sports,  The slugger who is best known for his time with the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers, has signed to play in Japan with a team called the Kochi Fighting Dogs.

He last played in the Major Leagues in 2011.  A few years ago he signed a minor league deal with the Cubs as a player coach in Triple A. He was also a hitting instructor for that team.

A great hitter who will always have a tarnished career by his testing positive for using performance enhancement drugs.

Will he ever make it back to the majors?  Probably not but I at least give the guy some credit for playing the game he loves.  He will least make it entertaining for the Japanese fans in attendance.
