Make A Difference With The Victims Services Unit

Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller stopped by The Rocker Morning Show to introduce the Victim Services Unit which will carry out some of the agency's most difficult work.  And people like you and me are able to be a part of one of the most important facets in our community.

According to the Sheriff's Department, "Victim Services is a group of trained volunteers dedicated to help victims and survivors work through a crisis or crime against them. Our purpose is to assist persons that have experienced trauma.  The unit will be designed to comfort and help victims and survivors at the scene and provide immediate, short term crisis intervention and/or grief support. Members of the unit will serve as a go between for victims and survivors, their families, and scene officials and emergency service providers."
