It's been a few months working with Fret Zealot, and I guess I can happily say... I'm a guitar player now!

If you're not familiar, Fret Zealot is a huge online vault of music lesson videos taught by world-class teachers. Many are just 15-20 minutes long, so you can learn at your pace when you have time. They'll teach you the basics of guitar, bass and ukelele, as well as advanced technique and song tutorials in so many genres. You can pair it all, like I did, with an optional LED system that attaches to your fretboard and shows you exactly where to put your fingers.

By no means am I on the level of Slash, or Scott Ian, but thanks to Fret Zealot, I can play a few songs, I've been learning some theory, how to read cords, and even learning how to write my own music while fiddling around on the guitar.

YEAH! I've become "that guy" who sits in a chair in the corner of the room, strumming a few cords, and humming some melody to it. I've been perfecting AC/DC "Back in Black" while learning Aerosmith's "Dream On" ... and a few basic Christmas tunes.

I love it, and I'm by no means done learning, either. There's still PLENTY to learn with Fret Zealot, even beyond the basic tutorials. They have lessons on how to play like some of my icons in rock music, and even deeper dives into music theory, common chord progressions, and how I can make my music even more interesting.
