Metroparks in Trouble With Animal Rights Activists
The Huron-Clinton parks department has placed director George Phifer on administrative leave.
The reason is unknown, though it should be noted that animal rights activists recently took to Facebook to express their anger in regard to images of a dead fawn found on park property; the death, a result of over-mowing "areas of the park that normally are not mowed until Fall," according to one concerned Facebook user.
Phifer was promoted to director in 2015.
