Michigan Free Fishing Weekend Is This Weekend June 10 & 11
This weekend is a great weekend to get out and do some fishing as it is the second of two free fishing weekends in Michigan.
According to Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Saturday June 10th and Sunday June 11th you can fish in Michigan without a license.
There are a few events set up for the weekend through out the state. The only one near us here in West Michigan is in Marshall. That event will take place in Marshall at Stuart's Landing. It is called, the Fish n' Float which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It includes youth fishing, casting contest, root beer floats and more.
This weekend is also a free ORV Weekend in Michigan. Plus, if you head out to any state park or recreation area this weekend you do not need a recreational passport.
If you have always wanted to fish but never had a license, this is the perfect time to try it out. The weather will be heating up so a great weekend to get out and enjoy the outdoors in Michigan.
