Michigan Kids Today…What Should They Know How To Do?
We've been talking about this on The Rocker Morning show for years. Lately, though, we've been trying to zero-in on the Millennial and Z generations. What do they like? What do they hate? What do they aspire to become? Things like that. But what about the things that they need to know how to do simply to be able to get along in life?
I was checking out an article on simplemost.com and they suggested 7 things kids should know how to do by the time they're 13 years old. Here's their list:
1. How to cook a meal.
2. Understand money basics.
3. How to do a load of laundry.
4. How to do basic household chores.
5. How to grocery shop.
6. How to fail.
7 How to manage stress.
I would suggest a few others that may be more applicable than failing and stress management.
2. How to change a tire/jump a battery (even though they can't drive)
3. How to babysit.
4. How to take care of a pet.
5. Know how to swim.
