Michigan Roundabouts Have No Lap Limit, Just Follow Basic Traffic Rules
How many times are you legally allowed to go around a Michigan roundabout without exiting? Have you ever entered a roundabout, immediately realized you picked the wrong exit, and thought, “Well, crap. I guess I live here now?”
One of the great mysteries of Michigan driving is how many times you can go around a roundabout without getting pulled over. Is it three times? Five? Ten? Or is there even a limit at all?

Nope.
There's No Law In Michigan About How Many Laps You Can Make At A Roundabout
Michigan doesn't have a specific law limiting how many laps you can make around a roundabout. That said, you don't wanna be a total jerk and keep going around when a bunch of cars are trying to get through.
The Michigan driver's manual actually tells drivers that if they miss their exit, they should just go around the roundabout again and try it a second time. So if you accidentally pass your exit, congratulations: You've unlocked a Roundabout Bonus Lap and been awarded a longer commute time.
Just remember that you still have to follow the normal rules of the road. Yield to traffic already in the roundabout, follow the lane markings and signs, and don't stop in the middle of the roundabout unless you absolutely need to for safety. You also need to stay to the right of the center island.
So all in all, technically, nothing is stopping you from making multiple trips around the traffic circle while desperately trying to figure out where you're supposed to turn, or just for fun. Isn't that cool? You could basically just become part of a roundabout.
Now, how many laps would you be able to make on a full tank? This is getting to be a very Tootsie Pop-type scenario...
