Isn't it enough that we have to go to great lengths to keep scammers from getting a hold of our personal information.  Add to that the hacking that goes on every minute of every day to millions of people.  Now we find out that our own Michigan Secretary Of State could be selling our personal information legally!

According to an article on upnorthlive.com, last week, a couple in Grand Traverse County said their information was sold by the Michigan DMV to companies who call and send letters to people about extending their vehicle warranty.  Turns out, it’s not just those warranty companies who have access to driver’s information.  On the Michigan Secretary of State website it says driving and vehicle records can be purchased through the record sales unit.  What?  How can this be allowed to happen?  If you want to find out more about what's going on, click HERE.
