Minor League Baseball Ranks Tigers Minor League System Top 10 For Pitchers

The Detroit Tigers have had some high draft selections of late and many have been pitchers.  It has paid off as many of these prospects are close to the majors.

Minor League Baseball recently announced their top 10 farm systems rankings focusing on pitchers and the Tigers land in the top 5.

The Tigers are listed at number 2 behind the San Diego Padres.   Pitching wise the Tigers minor league system is stacked.

Casey Mize and Matt Manning are the teams top two prospects.  Both recently pitched in Double A Erie.

The Tigers other top pitching prospect has become Tarik Skubal who was also in Erie.   The big three should make their way to Toledo this year.  If you want to get a look at these guys all three are in camp for Spring Training.

Alex Faedo and Joey Wentz were also mentioned as pitchers to watch.   Spring Training games begin tomorrow in Lakeland against the Phillies.   The Tigers regular season opens on March 26th in Cleveland.
