It was a sad day yesterday as a Detroit Tigers fan to see J.D. Martinez traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks.  As J.D. moves on to the National League, lets look back at my all time favorite moment of his with the Tigers.

The moment was last season when J.D. was coming off the disabled list in August.  He pinch hit against the Chicago White Sox  and their then ace pitcher, Chris Sale (who is now in Boston).  There was a feeling that he was going to do something memorable when he walked up to the plate.

Sure enough he hit a go ahead home run on the first pitch he saw from Chris Sale.   A great memorable moment from last season.   Sad to see him go but thanks J.D. for giving the fans many highlights during your time in Detroit.  Good Luck in Arizona.
