I know, I know, I know. There is no such thing as a free lunch, and "if it sounds too good to be true, it is." But this offer did perk my eyes. An automotive dealer in Springfield, Virginia said it was offering a Nissan Leaf lease for just 99 cents. The Leaf was one of the earliest electric vehicles, but it has since faded, due to newer, shinier models that have come along, but at one time, it was the Chevy Volt (an electric hybrid) and the Nissan Leaf (all-electric).

As I said, Leaf sales aren't where they should be, so this dealer in Virginia made this ridiculous offer of 99 cents. Hey, I'm in for that price. I've been a major fan of electric cars since the last decade, but their price tags have been incredibly expensive. 99 cents hits my price point. But (and there's always a but) here's the deal, This was a two-fer deal. You had to buy another Nissan sales dog, the Nissan Titan pickup truck at full price.

Good news for the dealer, they sold five just like that.
