I guess it was only a matter of time.  We already have a major in beer at Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo Valley Community College.  Let's face it, marijuana will soon be big business in Michigan and the rest of the country if you believe the experts.  I have a feeling, though, that the "Marijuana Major" of my generation wasn't nearly as difficult as the one available today.

According to an article on wzzm13.com, there's a new four-year degree program in medical plant chemistry at Northern Michigan University and it's hard work.  First, you're talking about a chemistry degree and, in case you didn't know, organic chemistry is one of if not the hardest course at any university.  My daughter-in-law had to take it on the way to medical school and my son took it just for fun to see how he'd do.  They both did very well.  Anyway, the industry is supposed to produce nearly a half of a million jobs by 2022.  Should we expect the offering to be available at colleges closer to us?  I think so.  Check out the rest of the story by clicking HERE.
