Since recreational marijuana was legalized last November, not much has happened in terms of easy acquisition.  As you may or may not know, Michigan won't see any "Pot Stores" until, at least, 2020.  However, much has been done to curb the acquisition with communities banning the sale in anticipation and law enforcement has gotten ahead of what many see as an onslaught of "drugged drivers".  In fact, last year there was a pilot program in 5 Michigan counties to test mechanisms and protocol in regard to roadside drug testing.

Now, according to an article on lansingstatejournal.com, the pilot program has become statewide.  Law enforcement will be using an Oral Fluid Drug Testing instrument that basically takes a swab from the drivers mouth and administering a12 step evaluation much like an alcohol sobriety test.  The Oral Fluid mechanism will not only be able to detect marijuana but also amphetamines, benzodiazepine, methamphetamine and opioids giving a reading in just a few minutes.  Get more details by clicking HERE.
