A Michigan School Shooting May Have Been Stopped by the New England Patriots

New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman alerted authorities after a threat on his Instagram, police traced the threat back to Michigan.

The New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman was in Texas visiting his former teammate Danny Amendola late last month when he received a direct message on his Instagram account: “Dude, there is a kid in your comment section says he s going to shoot up a school, i think you should alert the authority."

Edelman took the threat seriously and got in touch with his assistant back in Boston who located the threatening comment “I’m going to shoot my school up watch the news” and called 9-1-1. Just like on TV, the police brought in experts who traced the IP address to Michigan. Port Huron police drove to the suspect's house and confronted a 14-year-old boy who admitted the threat; his mom had 2 rifles in the house.
