Phil Mickelson Confirmed For Rocket Mortgage Classic In Detroit

The Rocket Mortgage Classic returns to Detroit in May.  The lineup for this year will feature one of the most recognized names in the sport of golf, Phil Mickelson. 

According to the story from the Detroit Free Press,  tournament organizers have announced that Mickelson is confirmed and will play in the event May 28th-31st at the Detroit Golf Club.

Along with Mickelson, the event will feature Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson.   Fowler is a spokesperson for Rocket Mortgage and is currently number 25 in the world. Watson played in the tournament last year and missed the cut after two rounds.

Nate Lashley was the winner of the inaugural classic last year.

Tickets for the event are scheduled to go on sale to the public on Wednesday (January 22nd) 9 a.m. at the tournaments website.  Along with the tournament, the event will feature the Area 313 pro am event on Tuesday, May 26th.
