Why Hasn’t The City Fixed This Dangerous Parking Lot?

There is a parking lot in Battle Creek with potholes so big that you could plant flowers in them and even lie down in them.

There is a serious problem we have to talk about regarding the parking lot off of Beckley Road in the same complex as the Taco Bell, Hobby Lobby, and many other businesses.

The entire parking lot pulling into the strip mall off of Beckley Road and Riverside Drive is riddled with potholes.

When I say riddled with potholes, I mean, you literally have to drive like you’re the drunkest driver of all time just to avoid these massive sinkholes that are just begging to destroy your vehicle. How the city of Battle Creek hasn’t recognized the urgency to fix this parking lot is beyond me, but something needs to be done before more people’s tires start falling into disarray.

Below are some pictures that were taken on April 9, just showing the amount of damage that can be done to your vehicles.

The surprising thing about this is that, according to imagery taken from Google Maps, you can see just how damaged this parking lot has been in the past.

But it’s shocking that renovations that seemed to have been made within the last few years have been reduced to rubble.

Something urgent needs to be done about this parking lot, as people are driving through parking spots just to avoid them, almost causing accidents. The city needs to fix this ASAP. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
