WARNING: These Are Items You Absolutely CAN NOT Mail In Michigan
As we get closer to the holidays, we are going to start seeing more action at the post office, as many people will be shipping out presents across the country to their loved ones over this Christmas season. It’s smart that you get ahead of the game and ship them out as early as possible to avoid your package getting delayed over the increased amount of business in the next few months.
With that being said, it’s important to know what you can and cannot ship through the United States Postal Service here in Michigan. Every time you go and get shipping on a package the first thing they ask you is if there is anything perishable, dangerous, or corrosive inside the package.
Usually, we are really quick to just hit the red button and move on with our transaction, but it is rather important that you make sure that you are following the rules of what you can and cannot send. Even something as simple as cologne is a restricted item that, given that you follow the correct shipping protocols, is legal to ship.
But even an item like this can be turned away if you don’t properly package certain items. The list of items that are restricted is actually much larger than items that are flat-out banned from being shipped. But below you can take a look at the list of restricted items just so you can avoid the headache of having to leave the post office.
