Red Wings Players Among Current NHL Stars to Play In Charity Game On 8-26
Detroit Red Wings players and head coach Jeff Blashill will be among the NHL stars taking part in a charity game in Plymouth on August 26th in the memory of USA Hockey's Jim Johannson.
According to USA Hockey Arena, the Stars and Stripes Showdown will feature American born players and coaches playing to honor former assistant director of USA Hockey, Jim Johannson.
The game will take place on August 26th at 2 p.m. at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.
It will feature Red Wings stars Dylan Larkin, Danny DeKeyser, Jimmy Howard and Luke Glendening. Other American NHL stars taking part include, Austin Matthews, Zach Parise, Ryan Suter, James Van Riemsdyk and many more.
The event will also feature a memorabilia and jersey auction and post game chance to meet and greet with select players and coaches.
Proceeds from the Stars and Stripes Showdown benefits the Jim Johannson legacy fund of USA Hockey Foundation and Ellie Johannson College Fund.
