Multiple media outlets are reporting that the Detroit Lions will let go of defensive lineman Damon "Snacks" Harrison (pictured above) with two years left on his contract.

Harrison came to Detroit in a trade with the New York Giants two years ago.  He had 49 tackles and two sacks in the 2019 season.  "Snacks" signed a one-year extension with the Lions just before the 2019 regular season.

The move would save the Lions almost $7 million on the 2020 salary cap.  His dead cap hit for 2020 is $5 million.

Harrison has battled injuries during his time in Detroit, and hinted at retirement at the end of the regular season.  He'd be the third D-Lineman to leave the team this offseason.  Both A'Shawn Robinson and Mike Daniels become unrestricted free agents next month.
