Sean Astin Named As The Newest Guest To Motor City Comic Con

There are so many celebrities from Michigan that you never know when you’re going to run into somebody famous. Celebrities will have a habit of popping in and out of places, surprising, local businesses, and people in the town.

But when celebrities are coming to your town, it’s a little bit easier to have a chance to run into them. The spring Michigan residents will have a chance to bump into actor Sean Astin, who is most well known for his roles in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Goonies, Stranger Things, Rudy, Toy Soldiers, and many other films and TV series.

The Samwise Gamgee actor has a good chance of being out and about in the Novi area because he has just been announced as the newest name to be added to the Motor City Comic Con from Friday, May 16 until Sunday, May 18.

This is the first time that Shawn has been to the Motor City Comic Con since 2017, so people haven’t had a chance to meet him since taking on his role in the Stranger Things series.

We recently were talking about how all of the original hosts of Blue’s Clues, including Steve Burns, Donovan, Patton, and Josh Dela Cruz would also be there, including the most recently named stars Jeff and Matt Hardy from WWE/AEW fame. Whenever a celebrity is coming to town I always try to ask myself, “If I were so-and-so, where would I be right now?"

Obviously you don’t want to go out of your way to pester these people, but it would be cool to bump into them on the street. We will wait to see if anybody has some cool stories from their interactions at Comic Con. Tickets can be purchased here.
