No matter where you are at you will always find the perfect spot to do some swimming or fishing. As somebody who’s gone fishing and not only the great lakes, but the ocean, as well, sometimes the best fishing and swimming areas are way off the beaten path, and places you most likely have never even heard of before.

I know we consider Minnesota the land of 10,000 Lakes, but the truth is every state has thousands of lakes that you probably weren’t even aware of to begin with. It’s my personal opinion that these are the spots you want to head up to see what kind of fishing they may have there, and also just enjoy a relaxing day in the lake.

Remember not to break The Law

Now it’s important to remember that some lakes are private or only exclusive to the people who live along the lake. Hence, you never want to trespass, but for public lakes that are welcoming to outsiders, take a look at some of the lakes that we found below and see if you’ve even ever heard of these before.
