Sophie was one of the standouts of the contest, and since debuting on the show, her hometown of Muskegon, Michigan, has been cheering her on.

Sunday, February 10, was the semifinal,s but her performance didn’t get enough votes to make it to the finals. Many people believe she was the hands-down favorite to win, and even moved people like Jelly Roll to tears, who spoke perfectly about her performance of "What I Was Made For” by Billie Eilish:

I believed every single note you sang, I believed you sang it from your soul. I believe in the conviction. I’m very seldom lost for words, and I’m trying not to cry when I say this: music was your happy place when life got hard. Girl, I relate, and more I can feel it in your spirit, I can hear it in the room, you made it my happy place, I felt safe for those three minutes.

As many people are coming to her to express their emotional support for leaving the show, many people are backing the belief that everybody already knows, that this is just the beginning of her musical career, and she has a long road of success coming her way. You can listen to her stunning vocal performance below.
