Love University of Michigan Football, Southwest Michigan? This Map Shows It Doesn’t Love You Back

You live in Southwest Michigan, fly your University of Michigan flags and you bleed maize and blue. Would you be surprised to know the football team you love, in one aspect, doesn't love you back?

An interesting map produced by MLive that shows 10 years of recruiting shows that U of M has tapped football players from nearly every region of Lower Michigan except Southwest Michigan. U of M has recruited from Detroit, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Saginaw and Flint as well as nearly every major region of Ohio.

Michigan State has recruited players from the Southwest Michigan region tapping recruits from Marshall, Battle Creek Central, Gull Lake and Berrien Springs.
