Sportsbook Sets Over/Under Line On Astros Being Hit By Pitch

The Houston Astros sign stealing scheme has been a big story during the off season.  For the season could we see a huge number of Astros hit by pitchers during the year?

According to the story from M-Live,  William Hill sportsbook has set a line for the upcoming season.  They have the over under line set at 83.5 for the 2020 season.

Only 9 teams have gone over the number over the last 5 years.   Last season saw the Astros hit by pitch 66 times.  The sportsbook has also set odds on ranges for hit by pitch.

With no players being punished for the scheme, you would think that some managers and pitchers will do something to get back at some of those players accused of stealing signs.

It will be a long interesting year in Houston for the Astros players.   We'll see how it goes when they start their spring  schedule on Saturday (Feburary 22nd) against the Nationals.

The Astros will open the regular season March 26th against one of their division rivals, LA Angels.
