A silo located in Portland, Michigan pays homage to Detroit's once booming potato chip industry.

The New Era Potato Chip Silo in Portland, Michigan has been a landmark since the 1930s. The Shrauben family and now Chris Smith have maintained the silo throughout the years.

Sounds a little weird, but to each their own, right? But they don't have a funky taste to them, they are just potato chips.

Michigan based Better Made has a vast variety of potato chip flavors including Honey BBQ and Sweet BBQ. They sound similar, so what's the difference? Let's taste them and try to find out.

Over the past few years Lay's has had a contetst called, "Do Us A Flavor".  They have had some very interesting flavors some great, some not so great.  Lay's has a new round of flavors and contest called, "Flavor Swap".

A few months back I tried the first of the four new Lay's Do Us A Flavor Contest Finalist.  I tried the Biscuits and Gravy flavor.  Over the past few weeks I finally got to try the other three finishing with the New York Reuben chips.

Lay's has done their Do Us A Flavor contest over the past few years.  Last year's winner turned out to be one of my personal favorites, Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger. This year there are four new finalists and I got to try one of them, Southern Biscuits and Gravy.

Potato chips: It's one of those things that you can't stop eating. Ever since Lay's started their "Do Us a Flavor" contest, I had to try all the latest flavor of chips. There have been some good flavors (mango salsa, bacon mac and cheese, garlic bread),  and then there were the not-so-good flavors (cappuccino). There is one in particular that I have enjoyed the most. It's last year's win
