The party at Northern Michigan's Torch Lake gained a bit of infamy after wild bashes in 2014-2015. After some legal action, the 2016 version was a bit more toned down.

The Torch Lake sand bar in Northern Michigan was home to wild parties during the summers of 2014 and 2015, but has been shut down for 2016 after a judge ruled on the side of Torch Lake property owners who filed suit to stop the festivities.
