Really unfortunate news to share, as apparently Tempo Vino Winery at 260 E. Michigan Ave. in Downtown Kalamazoo has announced they will most likely be closing by the end of the year, according to a press release sent out.

Tempo Vino has been a staple part of our annual Kalamazoo Wine Not? event, so the news of them closing is definitely bittersweet, although the reason they gave for the closure is because of post-pandemic business:

We plan on closing in December, or perhaps sell the business in that time. We will still offer all of our services during this time, except custom winemaking. I would like to give a big heartfelt thank you to all of our customers who have supported us these last 18 years. Many of you have become like family to us. We are so grateful to have been part of many of your major life events. We have celebrated so many weddings! We’ve seen customers go from first date, to getting married and having kids.

Tempo Vino has given customers the chance to create their own batch of wine, which will be able to be completed before the closure. Although they do plan on closing, they're still going to be involved in community events throughout the year and will remain open 12-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Keep an eye on their website for more updates:

Located in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo, Tempo Vino Winery is a unique experience for all wine lovers, from the curious novice to the seasoned connoisseur. Not only can you stop in and sample our wines at the tasting bar, you can even make your own private label wine.
