The Burger Bros. – A Must for Kalamazoo Burger Lovers
I get it. Your lunch hour is more like a lunch few minutes. You want something hot, fast, and cheap. So you settle for that same-old-same-old chain restaurant burger with a dry bun and soggy fries. No longer, my friends. The Burger Bros. are open for business on Riverview Dr. in Kalamazoo's East Side Neighborhood. Stop in today, and find your new burger obsession.
The first thing you see when you walk in to The Burger Bros. is their very simple, cut-to-the-chase menu. A menu like this tells me one thing; what they do, they do well. They aren't hiding behind a laundry list of deep fried appetizers, making their burgers an afterthought. The burgers are front and center; a single, double, and veggie option. From there, it's up to you. Their customizable, build-your-own menu lets you create a one-of-a-kind burger experience every time you stop in. Ask for Bro Style and get cheese, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. Feeling adventurous? Choose from any of these unlimited, free toppings:
- Grilled Onion
- Jalapeno
- Banana Peppers
- Giardinera
- Olives
- Mushrooms
- Mayo
- Hot Sauce
- BBQ Sauce
- Ranch
- BB Sauce
Did I say free? I most certainly did. Looking to spice things up even more? For a small fee, add bacon, cheese sauce, jalapeno cheese sauce, or chili sauce.
So, what did I order?
What you are looking at, my friends, is a single with bacon, jalapeno cheese sauce, and extra jalapenos. Outside of my diet? Certainly. Worth it? For sure. The bun was soft, the burger was juicy, and the toppings were perfectly balanced. I was a little worried about the cheese sauce creating a messy situation (and a soggy bun) - not the case. Perfect portions. Simply delicious.
What's a burger without fries? These, however, are no ordinary fries. These are The Burger Bros. Pickle Fries. Stay with me. Sprinkled with their house pickle seasoning, and served with their "BB Sauce," these fries will become an obsession. Salty with a vinegar finish, crunchy outside, soft inside - and one hell of a serving, I might add - I can see popping in on Burger Bros. just for a side of these bad boys. Don't fret. If you aren't a pickle fan, their regular fries are deliciously seasoned, with that crunchy-but-soft ratio, or, get the Bro Fries, and load them up with unlimited toppings.
Lunch with coworkers. Picking up dinner for the most discerning of children's tastes (only ketchup). Treating your out-of-town guests to some local flavor. The Burger Bros. check all those boxes and more.
The Burger Bros. are open seven days a week. Order pick up, delivery, or stop in at their East Side storefront at 806 Riverview Dr. Check them out on Facebook.
