The Devil Made Dalton Do It?

Jason Dalton who is charged with fatally shooting six people in between picking up fares claimed that he committed the killings because the devil possessed him through his Uber app. He told police that an inverted, multi-colored pentagram known as the Eastern Star appeared on his smartphone, followed by a Satanic image. He described the “devil head” as looking like “a horned cow head or something like that and then it would give you an assignment and it would literally take over your whole body.”

Dalton also said he selected his victims at random and didn’t remember all of the incidents saying he didn’t remember pulling the trigger on his 9-mm. pistol, but “just remembers feeling the percussion of the gunshots” during the final shooting outside the Cracker Barrel restaurant. Finally, he said he didn’t get into a shootout with the cop who caught him because the color of his Uber app changed from black to red.
