The Last McKelly On The Rocker Morning Show

It's always weird having one of my family on the show with me.  It was no different this morning with the "last McKelly"; my daughter Lauren along with other Portage Northern High Schoolers Wes Hyames and Eli Barker.  They came in this morning to tell all about the Portage Northern Talent Show and pre-show Tailgate Party.

But before we get to the details, let me brag on these young people.  Wes is the School President and my daughter Lauren is the President Elect.  Along with Eli, who will MC tomorrow night's talent show, they've all taken it upon themselves to take leadership roles in their school which makes me very proud of all of them.  The trend, these days, is to do just the opposite.  So for them to to give up so much to make a difference sets such a great example not just for their own generation but ours as well.

Anyway, back to The Talent Show.  In past years Lauren's older brother Ryan and sister Kaitlyn were a part of Student Senate too and the Talent Show always crushed it.  So that in itself would be a reason to go.  Now, there's a pre-show Tailgate party for the whole family with food trucks, ice cream, games, raffles, face painting and much more.  I encourage you to check out one or both tomorrow to help raise money to pay for all the important things that go on in High School.  Click HERE for more info.
